XGpro is the official Windows software for the entire XGecu programmer family — the TL866II Plus, the T48 and the T56. If you just bought one of these programmers, the CD in the box (if there even is one) ships an outdated version, and most download sites bury the real installer under fake buttons. Which programmers does XGpro support?

Installing XGpro (2 minutes)

  1. Extract the ZIP and run XgproV1316_Setup.exe;
  2. Accept the driver installation when Windows asks — this is the USB driver for the programmer itself;
  3. Plug in your programmer after the install finishes. The status bar in XGpro’s bottom-left corner should show your model connected;
  4. If the device isn’t detected: unplug, try another USB port (prefer a rear motherboard port over a hub), and check Windows Device Manager for a “Xgecu” entry.

Common questions

Windows flagged the download / antivirus warning? Low-level USB programmer tools trip heuristic scanners regularly. This is the unmodified installer as distributed by XGecu — you can verify by comparing checksums with the vendor’s own distribution. Add an exclusion if your AV quarantines the driver.

I have version 10.50 — should I update? Yes. v13 adds thousands of chip models, T48/T56 support and years of bug fixes. Settings carry over; just install on top.

Does XGpro run on macOS or Linux? Officially, no — it’s Windows software. Linux users report success running it under Wine with USB passthrough, but for production work a Windows machine (or VM with USB passthrough) is the reliable path.

The software is in Chinese after install? Menu: Language → English. It sticks after restart.
